I had been toying with the idea of making my own costumes for some time. The only thing standing in my way is my lack of sewing knowledge. However, after deciding to stay at home with my son, I realized I would have to figure out a way to make most of the costumes that I am currently obsessed with otherwise my husband would probably disown me. I saw other people had sites dedicated to their sewing projects and I have always wanted to create a whole site showcasing my Titanic reproductions so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I just finished taking a basic sewing course and the good thing is... the only thing new to me was how to put in a zipper. I have purchased two sewing books that people highly recommend on two different costuming sites. The only thing left is to jump straight into a project and either sink or swim!

Why call it the Rosy Brunette? I was reading an article from one of my vintage fashion magazines talking about the art of dressing in white. The article said that a rosy brunette cannot wear the same color of white that a pale blonde can... and the name stuck in my head. When I decided to create a whole costume site, that's the domain I decided to use out of the plethora of domain names that I own.
